ニューヨーク生まれ、ロンドン在住の写真家。その活動は、高く評価されている写真集の出版から企業のコマーシャルワーク、そしてZINE制作までと多岐に渡る。活動初期より10代の少女や若い女性のリアルな日常に焦点を当てており、ガーリーフォトの旗手として世界的に知られている。ストリートカルチャー、アメリカーナ（アメリカの原風景）、ZINEカルチャーを自由にミックスすることで生まれる彼女の作品は、ざらついた質感がありながらグラフィカル、そして感情に対してどこまでも正直な、独自のスタイルを築き上げている。
